From 1st August 2018, all webexpenses (webonboarding) websites will no longer be supporting the encryption protocol TLS 1.0. The removal of this protocol ensures the ongoing security of your data as it is transmitted across the Internet. We will continue to support protocols TLS 1.1 and 1.2.

How does it affect me?

Each time you connect through a browser, you engage with us through a secured connection. This connection ensures that the data transferred is only accessible by yourselves and webexpenses (webonboarding) and cannot be ‘eavesdropped’ by third parties. Transport Layer Security (TLS) is the current encryption technology used to secure this connection.

If you are using an older browser, you may experience challenges with the withdrawal of the TLS 1.0.

How do I know if my browser uses TLS 1.0?

Please use this link to check your TLS browser information. If your browser is using TLS 1.0, you will be unable to access your webexpenses (webonboarding) login page and will receive messages such as “This page can not be displayed” or “Unable to connect to the service”.

What do I need to do?

If you experience a challenge connecting, we would advise checking and where necessary, upgrading your browser to the latest version.
